Hey there! 🧡
A lot of us have either suffered from acne, acne marks, or — lucky us! — both.
And let me tell you, it can really take a hit at your self-confidence. I’ve always been a little obsessed with having clear, bright-looking skin, so yes, I’m definitely what you would call a skincare nut. 😂
Over the years, there’s one thing I incorporated into my routine that I feel really helped change the course of my skin: Oleia Tangerine Oil
I’ve always been able to handle oils on my face (I know, not everyone can!), and Oleia Tangerine Oil became one of those little skincare staples I kept coming back to.
And then I started wondering… what is it about vitamin C that makes it such a popular skincare ingredient? 🤔
Acne happens when pores become clogged, which can lead to inflammation and those lovely little bumps we’d all rather not have. And even after the acne itself goes away, we can be left with dark marks that seem determined to stay forever.
Vitamin C has been studied quite extensively in skincare because of its antioxidant properties and its role in collagen production. Research also suggests that topical vitamin C can help with pigmentation by reducing melanin formation, which is one reason it has become such a popular ingredient for people looking to improve the appearance of uneven skin tone.
And at my age, I absolutely LOVE hearing about collagen production. 😂
Of course, skincare science is rarely as simple as “ingredient = perfect skin.” The effectiveness of topical vitamin C depends on things like the actual form of vitamin C, concentration, stability and how well the formulation gets into the skin. Researchers have actually pointed out that this is one of the biggest challenges with vitamin C skincare products.
But what about my experience?
Well… my skin seemed brighter after I started incorporating Oleia Tangerine Oil into my routine. My cousins have used it too, and they’ve noticed a difference in their skin as well.
Could it be the Tangerine Oil? Could it be everything else I was doing with my skincare at the same time? Honestly, who knows! 😉 Skin is complicated like that.
What I do know is that I love how it feels on my skin, and I love having one little bottle that I can use in more ways than one.
And it isn’t just for skincare either. I also like using Oleia Tangerine Oil as a massage oil because of its lovely citrusy scent — especially when I’m feeling a little achy after a long day.
So if you’re acne-prone or simply looking for something to add to your self-care routine, maybe give Oleia Tangerine Oil a try.
Just remember: keep it away from direct sunlight, okay? 😄
And as always, if your acne is persistent, painful, or leaving significant dark marks, don’t be afraid to see a dermatologist. Sometimes our skin needs more than a pretty purple bottle can give it.
Show me your bottle and I’ll show you mine! ‘Til next time! 💋
